TIL the compressor in my own fridge was the issue all along
I was scratching my head over a customer's fridge that kept running warm, swapped out the start relay and capacitor, no luck. Turned out the compressor terminals had gone bad, something I usually skip checking on newer models. After that I opened up my own fridge at home, same thing, 10 year old Whirlpool with a weak compressor. Has anyone else found themselves ignoring basic checks on their own gear?

The part about ignoring basic checks on your own gear really hits home. I mean, it's like how people forget to check their own tire pressure until they're stranded on the side of the road. Idk, maybe we just assume our own stuff is fine until it breaks.

Right? I swear I spent two weekends tearing apart a buddy's freezer before I even looked at my own unit acting up. It's like your brain just skips the obvious stuff when it's yours, you know. Totally guilty of assuming my own stuff is bulletproof until it's not.
