Question about those cheap thermal fuses from online marketplaces
I spent $15 on a pack of five generic thermal fuses for a dryer repair last week, and the first one I installed blew again after two cycles, so has anyone found a reliable supplier that doesn't cost a fortune?

Wait, is it really the fuses or are we just installing them wrong? I've used those cheap ones before and they worked fine as long as I got the exact temp rating. Maybe @fiona_scott44 had a bad batch or something? I'd double check the wiring and make sure nothing else is shorting before blaming the part. Sometimes the problem is the thermostat, not the fuse.

Three fuses? Damn @fiona_scott44 you have way more patience than me, I woulda thrown a fit after the first one blew. Sounds like they just couldn't hack it once the heater actually kicked on.

Oh, I feel your pain. I went through three of those bargain-bin fuses on my water heater before I gave up. They were all rated for the right temperature, but they just couldn't handle the real load. I ended up getting a name-brand one from the appliance parts store and it's been fine for years now.
