Ngl I was dead wrong about aftermarket dryer belts
Honestly I always used OEM belts for everything because I figured the cheap ones would snap in a week. But last month I swapped an aftermarket belt into a Samsung dryer and it's still running fine after 40 loads. Has anyone else had good luck with generic parts or am I just getting lucky?

My 2016 Whirlpool duet started sounding like a dying cat last spring. I was gonna drop $80 on the OEM belt but grabbed a $12 one off Amazon instead just to see. Tbh it's been about 8 months now and that cheap belt is still going strong. The thing that really sold me was how the aftermarket belt actually had a thicker rubber section compared to the factory one. Honestly made me rethink buying name brand for stuff that's basically just a rubber loop.

Right?? I did the same thing with my dryer belt @dixon.willow and it's been fine for over a year now.
