Can we talk about how a $12 analog multimeter beats a $200 digital one for diagnosing a dead dryer?
Picked up a used Simpson 260 at a pawn shop in Amarillo for $12 and it's found two bad thermal fuses on Whirlpool dryers this week that my $200 Fluke kept ghosting on. The needle sweep shows you a slow voltage drop in real time, the digital just blinks a number and hides the drift. Anyone else keeping analog on the truck for motor and heating circuits, or am I just old and stubborn?
