A customer's complaint about my dryer vent work actually fixed my process

They said my flex duct looked like a crushed soda can and refused to pay until I redid it with rigid pipe, 6 months of doing it the easy way came back to bite me. Now I check the duct path before I even pull the machine out, has anyone else had a cheap shortcut turn into a double trip?

Used to be a guy who grabbed flex duct for everything since it was faster and cheaper. Watching that crushed soda can analogy play out in real time changed my whole approach. Now I map the run before I touch a single screw, saves me a second callout every time.
