Vent: Remember when anime talk at work meant huddling around a desk after hours?
Back then, we'd chat about anime over coffee breaks. Now, it's all text chats and video calls for watch parties.

Wow, I totally get this. I used to think those in-person talks were the only real way to connect about shows. But having watch parties over video call actually changed my mind. It lets me hang out with friends who moved away, and we can all watch at the same time. It's different for sure, but it means more of my crew can join in now. I kind of love that part.

But is it really that deep? It's just watching a show.

Totally get missing those in-person huddles, they had a special vibe for sure. What worked for my group was setting a weekly Zoom watch party, but we keep a text chat alive all week for random thoughts and memes. It sort of blends the old and new - you get the live reaction moment, plus the all-day chatter that feels like those coffee breaks. Honestly, the connection is what counts, whether it's in a break room or a video call lol.
