Shoutout to the guy on r/anime who told me to skip episode 4 of that mecha show

He said it was all filler and would kill the pacing. I listened and the series went from a 6 to an 8 for me. Anyone else ever skip a whole episode on a stranger's word and not regret it?

Wait, you skipped a whole episode of a mecha show based on one random person's post? That's wild. I would be too scared of missing some random plot point or cool fight scene, even if it was filler. But honestly, for that show, I feel like the pacing can make or break the whole thing. Good for you for taking that gamble, I'd be too chicken to do it myself.

Oh man that reminds me of my buddy Dave. He skipped an entire arc of Gundam Seed Destiny because some guy on a forum said it was just Kira crying and fighting the same enemy for three episodes. Dave was like "bet" and just jumped straight to the next episode. Of course he missed the part where the main villain gets their mobile suit stolen and the whole plot flips. He spent the next two episodes online trying to figure out why everyone was suddenly fighting different people. He never trusted a random forum post again after that.
