My streaming setup crashed mid episode of Frieren last night

Was watching the latest Frieren episode around 11pm and my entire Plex server just gave up after 3 years of no issues. Anyone else have their home server die at the worst possible moment?

Oh man that's rough! Tbh I had the same thing happen with my setup during the finale of Arcane. What finally worked for me was just rebuilding the whole database from scratch. I backed up my media folders, did a clean install of the server software, and imported everything fresh. It took like two hours but the system's been rock solid ever since. Sometimes the database just gets corrupted over time, ya know?

Rebuilding the whole database seems like overkill for one crash. Mine glitches out every few weeks but a quick restart always fixes it. Are you sure the database was actually corrupted or maybe the install just had some weird setting? Two hours of work just to watch a show feels like a lot.
