Just spent $60 on a premium streaming subscription for one anime series

I paid for a whole Crunchyroll premium month just to watch the new season of Solo Leveling in 4k, and the buffering killed the experience. Ended up switching to a free ad-supported site and it ran smoother. Anyone else get burned by paying for supposed quality that didn't deliver?

The real problem is their servers can't handle peak hours in 4k...

Yeah @hugo_jones2 nailed it about the peak hours thing. I switched to 1440p just to get through without buffering and even then it stutters sometimes. Tried a wired connection and that helped a bit but the bottleneck is clearly on their end. They need to cap bitrates during busy times or something.
