Dubbed vs subbed I finally picked a side after 10 years

I always watched anime with subs because that's what the forum purists said to do. Then last month I caught an episode of Attack on Titan dubbed by accident and realized I actually enjoyed it more. The sub purists act like you're betraying the art form if you don't read every line, but I just want to watch the fight scenes without squinting. Has anyone else switched teams after years of sticking to one approach?

Right? The sub purists act like you're committing a crime but I just want to watch the giant monsters eating people without having to stare at the bottom of the screen the whole time. Solidarity from another convert, the dubs are actually pretty good these days.

Man idk why people get so worked up about it lol. Like is someone forcing you to watch the sub version at gunpoint or something? Just watch how you want and move on with your life.
