Dropped $70 on a Sabo figurine at a con in Dallas and my cat turned him into a chew toy
So I went to a small anime con in Dallas back in March and there was this booth selling One Piece stuff. I saw a Sabo figure with the pipe and the top hat for 70 bucks, which felt steep, but I had just gotten paid and the guy said it was the last one. I brought him home and put him on the second shelf of my bookcase, right next to my Luffy and Ace. Three days later I come home and my cat has knocked him onto the carpet. The hat is gone and Sabo has bite marks all over his left arm. I found the hat under the couch but one side is chewed flat. Now the three brothers look wrong together and it bugs me every time I walk past the shelf. Part of me wants to just buy another one but 70 dollars for a figure my cat sees as a snack is a lot. Has anyone found a way to keep cats off a shelf that does not involve drilling into the wall?

My roommate's cat did the exact same thing to his Zoro figure, knocked it right into the litter box, and he ended up just moving all his figures to a glass cabinet he found at a thrift store for like 15 bucks. Cheaper than losing a 70 dollar figure to a cat that doesn't even know what One Piece is.
