Tested Lubuntu vs. Zorin OS on my 2008 Dell laptop and one was way snappier
I've been trying to keep my old Dell Latitude from 2008 alive for basic browsing. I tried Zorin OS Lite first and it was okay but kinda sluggish opening apps. Then I threw Lubuntu on there and wow, it boots in like 30 seconds now. The difference is night and day for lightweight tasks. Has anyone else had better luck with one distro over another for really old hardware?

On my 2008 ThinkPad Lubuntu is the only one that feels usable.
