Switched my approach on old laptop batteries after a forum guy called me out

Some guy on here told me I was killing my ThinkPad T420 by always charging it to 100%. I set the charge threshold to 80% in the BIOS and now the battery lasts twice as long between charges. Anybody else try this on their old machines?

Set it to 60% on my old Dell. Never looked back.

Charge it to 100% all day every day, the whole battery wear scare is overblown on these old machines and you're just leaving performance on the table for no real benefit.
