My old GPS unit saved me after a dead phone battery in Nashville

Phone died at 6% on the interstate exit to a job site last Tuesday, but my 2012 Garmin Nuvi still had the address cached from 3 weeks ago. Anyone else keep a dumb dedicated gadget as a backup for the smart stuff?
