My 1998 Saturn's radio finally died and I spent 2 hours trying to fix it

Last Saturday in my driveway I pulled the whole dashboard apart to get at that old tape deck, only to find the issue was just a corroded wire behind the cigarette lighter. Now the car runs fine but I have to listen to engine noise on my commute. Anyone got a lead on a junkyard in Tucson that still has these old GM radios kicking around?

Gotta correct something here... that radio isn't a tape deck, it's a CD player with a tape adapter slot. I had a 99 Saturn and made the same mistake when I first tried pulling it out. The corrosion wire thing is pretty common on these old Saturns though, my power locks did the same thing a few years back. Check out Pick-a-Part on Palo Verde, they usually have a couple of late 90s Saturns sitting around. Just bring a flathead screwdriver cause those GM trim clips are a pain to pop off without breaking them.

Ngl I'm pretty sure those late 90s Saturns actually had a cassette deck, not a CD player.
