Hit 200,000 miles on my old ThinkPad T420 last Tuesday
I was just swapping out the thermal paste on my daily driver T420, noticed the UEFI boot counter ticked over to 200,304 miles worth of uptime. That's about 12 years of regular use with only a battery swap and a fan replacement along the way. Anyone else track total runtime on their ancient gear just to see how far it's gone?

200k miles is kind of meaningless on a laptop though.

Totally agree with you @danielmartinez, miles mean nothing on a laptop lol. It's all about battery health and how many charge cycles it's been through. A laptop with 200k on the odometer could still be fresh if it lived on a desk plugged in 24/7. Or it could be totally wrecked if it was dragged around on a bumpy bus every day. Just check the actual specs and wear, not some arbitrary number.
