Found my old Palm Pilot from 2002 last week and tried to sync it

I dug out my old Palm Pilot Vx from a box in the basement. These things were my whole life back then - contacts, calendar, even a little note app. I plugged it in just for fun and the battery still held a charge. The screen is yellowed and the stylus is missing, but it turned on. Got me thinking about how I used to carry this gadget everywhere and now I just use the notes app on my phone. The kicker was trying to sync it to my modern laptop - no serial port, no cradle software that works on Windows 11. Has anyone here managed to get data off an old PDA in the last few years? I would love to see what I had in that calendar from 2004.

Brother I used a free tool called PilotLink to pull data off my old Palm m515 last year, it still works.

PilotLink sounds way better than my method which was duct tape and a prayer.
