DAE keep a dead phone alive by choosing a slow charge over a fast one?
My old Nexus 5 was dropping from full to dead in about 40 minutes, so I had two choices: buy a $12 fast charger off Amazon or dig out the original 1.2 amp wall plug from 2013. I went with the slow original brick and two weeks later the battery still holds a real charge through a whole day at my desk in Portland. Turns out those cheap fast chargers were cooking the cell the whole time. Has anyone else noticed old phones live longer on the charger they shipped with?
