That $50 tarp I bought for my truck bed saved a $400 couch on the drive home
I picked up a used sectional off Facebook Marketplace near Portland last weekend and strapped it in loose. Halfway home I hit a sudden downpour and the tarp I almost skipped kept the cushions totally dry. Has anyone else had a cheap accessory pay off way more than you expected?

Oh man, you got lucky! Did you have the tarp just draped over the couch or did you actually tie it down tight around the whole thing? Because I feel like if it was just sitting loose on top, wind could've flipped it off or rain could've blown in from the side. I'm always paranoid about that kind of stuff on the highway.
