Thrift store furniture polish trick saved me $40

I grabbed a beat up oak table for $12 at Goodwill. Used a $5 can of Howard Feed-N-Wax on it and the grain popped like crazy. Looked brand new after one coat. Anyone else have a go-to restore product for wood?

My buddy Mike found this solid oak dresser on the curb last spring. Paid zero dollars for it lol. The top was all dried out and had this white ring stain from some wet glass. He just rubbed some Howard Feed-N-Wax on it and let it sit for like 15 minutes. The white ring totally disappeared and the grain went from looking dead to really warm and deep. He's been telling everyone about that stuff ever since.

Honestly I used to think those restore products were just snake oil but Mike's story is pretty convincing. Ngl I've had a beat up coffee table with a nasty white ring from a cold can that I was just gonna sand and refinish. Maybe I'll try that Feed-N-Wax first since it worked on dried out oak like that. Tbh it sounds way easier than stripping the whole thing down.
