Spent 2 years cleaning my hardwood floors with vinegar water before a flooring guy told me I was stripping the finish
He pointed to the cloudy spots near my front door and asked if I'd been using vinegar. Who even knew that was a thing? Has anyone else been doing basic cleaning wrong for years?

Waited way too long to learn the same lesson myself. Switched to a pH neutral wood cleaner and a microfiber mop, buffing with a dry cloth after. Your floors will look way better in a few weeks with the right stuff.

You're right about the dry buffing after mopping. I started doing that with my own floors after noticing how much water was sitting on them. It made a huge difference in keeping them from looking cloudy.
