Can we talk about the shift from yellow page ads to Google Local Service Ads?

I remember 5 years ago every PI lawyer I knew was dropping $3k a month on Yellow Pages, now my buddy's firm gets 80% of their new cases from Google's little checkmark ads. Is it really that much better or just another platform taking a cut?

Used to roll my eyes at Google ads but my brother switched his plumbing business over and his phone hasn't stopped ringing, way better return than the phone book ever gave him.

And your brother probably found it helps to target local keywords too, @wrenwilson. Those phone book listings were a total gamble, but you can control exactly who sees your ads now. It's all about setting a decent budget and letting the data work for you.
