My buddy's wife freaked out when she saw the dust from our blow-in job
We were insulating her old farmhouse attic with cellulose, and she came home early. She started yelling about the mess, but I told her straight up that proper insulation means some temporary dust, and it's better than high heating bills. What do you say to calm down clients like that?
My first blow-in job in my own garage covered everything in a fine white powder. I looked like a ghost for a week, and my wife still brings it up at parties. Telling clients it's normal dust from saving money helps, but seeing is believing. I usually show them before and after pics of past jobs to ease their minds. In the end, a little mess now beats a big bill later.
