My block's garage sales are full of old treadmills now

It's crazy how many people are ditching big gym machines. I started using bodyweight exercises instead and feel way better.

Seriously! I sold my bulky rowing machine last year and never looked back. All I do now is push-ups, squats, and pull-ups on a bar in my doorway. My joints feel better and I'm not stuck in one spot staring at a wall. It just feels more natural to move my own body weight around. What kind of bodyweight stuff are you doing?

Attempted a pull-up after reading your post and ended up swinging like a piñata. My bodyweight routine is mostly just falling over with style.

Honestly, I was totally into machines for years. After trying some basic bodyweight moves, I realized it's way more fun and less hassle. You really don't need all that stuff taking up space.
