I finally sketched all the app icons by hand

They came out so wobbly my client thought it was a new trend. Has a design oops ever worked out for you?

Sometimes those happy accidents really do shape a whole look. There's a reason distressed type and rough textures keep coming back around. A client once took my misplaced ink splotch and asked for a whole brand package based on that "grungy" feel. It taught me that controlled imperfection can read as very human and friendly. Now I'm way less scared when a first draft has some odd charm to it.

Isn't it wild how a client can see the potential in something you thought was a mistake? That exact thing has happened to me, and it really does change how you view "perfect" work. Sometimes the best stuff comes from letting go a little.
