My friend's story about a double take in Chicago last month made me realize that most 'glitches' are just bad memory, not reality breaking.
He swore he saw the same license plate on two identical cars parked a block apart, but after checking his phone's photo, the numbers were totally different, which proves you should always trust a quick record over your own freaked-out brain.

Wait, he took a photo? That's the part that gets me. Most people just walk away doubting themselves, but he actually had proof. Smart move.

Yeah, having proof makes all the difference, doesn't it? My buddy had a similar thing happen when a cashier swore he gave him a ten instead of a twenty for change. He felt crazy until he remembered his phone was on the counter recording a video for his mom. He played it back right there and the manager had to apologize. It completely changed how he handles those little disputes now.
