Spent $300 on a new glass handling tool and it might have saved my hands
I got this suction cup roller thing for moving big panes by myself. Used it on a 10-foot tempered glass door last week. The grip gave out halfway up the stairs... the glass didn't break, but I had to catch it. My back is still sore. Anyone know a better brand that won't slip on a hot day?

and honestly craig.parker is right on the money here. i mean idk about you but i've never seen a suction cup that didn't start sweating after 20 minutes in the sun. that's just physics man. the fact you had to catch it says more about the setup than the tool. maybe try working with a partner next time or at least strap a safety line to the glass if you're gonna tackle stuff that big alone.

That suction cup failure probably saved you from a worse injury. A 10-foot door falling on you is no joke. The real problem is moving tempered glass alone, not the tool brand. My buddy's shop has a two-person rule for anything over 8 feet. The heat just makes a bad idea more dangerous. You got lucky this time.
