Pro tip: I hit 5000 square feet of glass installed in a single month and it was a bad thing
Everyone talks about big numbers like they're the goal, but hitting that mark last month showed me the problem. We were rushing jobs in the Phoenix heat just to keep up, and I caught two small but real mistakes in the sealant on a big storefront. That pace means you're not checking your work twice, which is basic. I think we focus too much on speed and not enough on doing it right the first time. Has anyone else found that pushing for a big install number actually hurt their quality?

We switched to tracking quality callbacks instead of square footage. It forced the team to slow down and get it right.

Honestly, that part about not checking your work twice is so true. Tbh we pushed for a huge number of showings last quarter and I totally missed a major crack in a foundation. Speed just kills the details.
