Just read that tempered glass can have a spontaneous break rate of about 1 in 10,000 panels

Found that stat in an old industry report from the Glass Association of North America. It's a tiny number, but it explains that one weird job in Cincinnati where a shower door just... went. Has anyone else ever actually seen one of these random breaks on site?

Makes you wonder about the ones that go right after install.

Actually I've had the opposite happen a few times. My last phone worked perfectly for years after a day one update. Sometimes it's just bad luck with a specific unit, not the update itself.

The "bad luck with a specific unit" thing is real... I had a phone once that was a dud from day one, but my brother got the same model a month later and it was perfect. Sometimes you just get the one that rolled off the line on a bad day.
