Unpopular opinion: I ditched my old glory hole setup for a ribbon burner and it's the best choice I ever made.
For years in my Seattle studio, I used a standard 4-inch glory hole because that's what everyone told me to start with. After a workshop in 2022, I switched to a custom 8-port ribbon burner and the heat distribution is so much more even for large gathers. My color work on big pieces improved almost overnight. Has anyone else made a big change to their heat source and been shocked by the difference?
