My local glass scene is buzzing about glow-in-the-dark frit lately.
Has this become popular where you are, or is it just a fad?

Glow-in-the-dark anything is having a real moment, like disco balls for the craft table. My local shop can't keep the stuff in stock, which is wild for material that basically turns your work into a permanent nightlight. It's fun for a few projects, but how many glowing paperweights does one person need? The buzz will probably fade once everyone's made their third ashtray that haunts their patio at night. It feels like a fad riding the wave of other neon and retro trends. Give it a year and we'll all be onto the next shiny, or in this case, glow-y, thing.

Have you seen my last vase? Let's just say the glowing cracks were not part of the design. I'm single-handedly keeping the frit makers in business just covering my mistakes.

Oh man, that reminds me of my friend's glow powder disaster. She mixed it into some clear resin to make bookends. They looked fine in daylight, but at night her living room looked like a sci-fi lab with these two weird green blocks pulsing on the shelf. Her cat would just sit and stare at them for hours. She finally had to throw a blanket over them to get any sleep.
