Watch the edges of things slowly crumble away, and you start seeing it everywhere. The curb outside my building wears down from all the tires hitting it. Even the paint on the bench at the bus stop is just gone in spots. It feels like everything is just slowly being returned, bit by tiny bit. Your post just made that click for me, how it's all the same force at different speeds. Makes you notice all the little surrenders.

It's the same with digital stuff too. @julia843's joke about the erosion sale made me realize even our old photos and files get corrupted and fade away over time. Just a slower kind of weathering.
