Spent 3 hours trying to get my new floor jack to lift straight, turns out the concrete was just uneven

Bought a Daytona low-profile jack last week. Every time I tried to lift my truck, it would tilt and bind. I was convinced the saddle was welded wrong, checked the hydraulics, even called the store. Finally, my buddy came over, looked at the floor, and goes 'your slab slopes like a ski jump, genius.' Moved it two feet over onto a level patch and it worked perfectly. Anyone else have a simple fix that took way too long to figure out?

Check the floor first, man. That's like rule number one.

Rule one is actually look up, @the_dylan.

Wait my buddy tried that exact thing at a gym and missed a dangling cable, tripped right into a rack? He said looking up saved him from eating a barbell to the face, not the floor.
