Shoutout to the cheap magnetic parts tray I bought three years ago
I grabbed it on a whim at Harbor Freight for maybe six bucks. For the longest time, it just held random screws on my workbench. Last week, I was rebuilding the carburetor on my old mower in the driveway. A gust of wind came through and would have scattered all the tiny springs and jets everywhere. That little tray held everything tight. I never gave it much thought, but it saved me from a huge headache. What's a simple tool that saved your butt on a job?

It's just a parts tray. How much of a headache could some tiny springs really be?

Oh sage_lewis10, you sweet summer child. Those tiny springs are a menace. One wrong move and they achieve low-earth orbit, never to be seen again. You'll find one six months later under the fridge, mocking you. The rest will hide in the carpet, waiting to ambush bare feet. It's a special kind of chaos.
