My magnetic tray gave out halfway through a brake job last weekend
I was under my truck in the driveway, bolts laid out nice and neat, when the whole thing just tipped. Turns out the cheap magnet lost its grip after a year. Had to fish a caliper bolt out of the gravel with a flashlight. Anyone know a good brand that actually holds up?

Grab a Lisle tray, those things are bulletproof.

Totally agree on the Lisle. Had one survive a full transmission falling off a jack. Thing just bounced. Ended up using a cheap parts tray from a big box store for small bolts, but for anything heavy or greasy, that Lisle is the only thing that doesn't bend or crack. It's still under my workbench, covered in years of grime but perfectly flat.
