Warning: My smartwatch told me to go to the ER during a family BBQ
I was just grilling burgers at my cousin's place in Austin when my watch buzzed with a high heart rate alert, over 140 bpm while I was standing still. I felt fine, but my wife made me call a nurse line. They told me to get checked out right away, and it turned out I had a minor heart thing starting. Has anyone else had a gadget give them a serious health heads-up they would have missed?

Yeah man, listen to the watch AND your wife. Mine caught a weird rhythm last year. The ER doc said it was basically a lucky catch.

Oh wow, that's amazing! My buddy's watch flagged something similar and it turned out to be a real issue too.
