Heard a guy at the coffee shop say his smartwatch review was wrong

He was talking to a friend about a fitness tracker he gave a bad score. Said he only wore it for a week before writing it up. His friend asked if he ever changed the band or tried a different sport mode. He hadn't. Made me think about how fast I judge new gear. Do you ever go back and re-test something after a longer time?

Is it really that deep though? I mean, it's just a watch review, not a medical study. People read a few of these things before they buy anyway.

Maybe I just get too into it. I've definitely spent more time on watch reviews than some of my actual work. It's a whole thing for some of us.

My old review of the Garmin Vivoactive 3 is still up... I panned the GPS accuracy after one bad run. Turns out I just needed to let it sit outside for a minute to connect. I've been too scared to go back and fix it for like two years now.
