PSA: My accountant said to track every hour, even the bad ones
Thought it was a waste. Then I saw a full month of data. Realized I was losing $400 a week on admin tasks. How do you guys price for that stuff?

Sit down with a calculator and figure that hourly rate out by adding a 15-20% markup for admin time. It sucks at first but it's honest. I used to hide those costs in my materials line and it never worked out. What's the point of knowing your numbers if you're just gonna ignore them? Track it for two weeks and multiply by two, that's your real cost of doing business right there. No shame in charging for the boring stuff, that's how you stay in business.
