Lost a $500 client because my computer crashed mid-zoom call last Tuesday

I was pitching a big social media package to a boutique hotel chain from my kitchen table in Cleveland. My laptop froze, then the blue screen of death popped up right when they asked about turnaround times. I never heard back from them after that. Anyone else have a client ghost them after a tech fail?

Honestly, "lost a $500 client" sounds a bit dramatic for one crashed computer. If they ghosted over a blue screen, they probably weren't that locked in to begin with. A quick follow up email explaining the crash couldve saved it if they were really interested.
