Back when a freelance quote was a quick call, not a week-long process

I remember quoting jobs over the phone in five minutes flat (so simple). Now, with all the forms and follow-ups, it takes days just to get a maybe. How did we let this get so drawn out?

Now we need a form just to request the form for a quote. It's a full-time job doing paperwork for jobs that might not even happen.

Remember when @margaret916 said it's a full time job? It makes you wonder who actually benefits from all these extra steps. Is the goal to stop work from getting done? Feels like they create busywork just to justify certain jobs. The whole system needs a serious reset.
