Warning: I thought that new ceramic foam filter for aluminum was just a gimmick until we ran a batch of 6061 last month and the X-ray showed zero inclusions.
Has anyone else had a tool or process they doubted completely change their mind on a specific job?

Remember when we all thought those digital torque wrenches were overkill? I fought my shop foreman on getting one for years. Used it on a head gasket job last week and it caught a stretched stud my old click wrench would have missed. @eric_ramirez67 is right, it's the same story with the degassing wand. You don't know what you're missing until you see the proof.
