Aw that sounds awesome, love when a random idea turns into a fun weekend like that. The sand must have gotten everywhere, but that's half the fun lol. Honestly makes me want to dig out some old craft stuff and try something similar.

Half the fun" is being generous for my last craft attempt. I tried making a simple birdhouse and ended up gluing my fingers together more than the wood. My projects always look like a kindergartner's art class disaster.

Oh man, I feel that. I once tried to follow a simple clay pot tutorial and ended up with a lopsided blob that my dog wouldn't even go near. Honestly, @blairjackson is right though, the messy disasters are kind of the best part, even if you're just cleaning glue off your hands for an hour.
