After tweaking our furnace, the cast quality jumped up
I was about to give up on fixing our recurring brittleness. Spent an hour adjusting the gas mix and temperature settings. The next batch came out smooth and strong. What's your go-to method for furnace calibration? I'm curious if digital readouts are worth the cost.

Heard your gas mix fix worked, nice one. I start by logging every change, even the small ones, to see what sticks. Digital readouts cut down on errors for sure, but they cost a bit... depends how serious you are about it. Old hands swear by reading the flame color, takes practice though. Sometimes the simple tweaks make all the difference.

In my kitchen, I log recipe tweaks like @black.claire does with gas mixes, and it saves dinner more often than not.
