I was reading a forum thread about that 'Third Man Factor' thing in survival stories

Someone mentioned it might explain a lot of the 'shadow person' footage people post here, like the ones from abandoned hospitals. They said the brain under stress can make you see or feel a presence that isn't there. It made me look at those videos differently. I watched that famous 'Mel's Hole' clip again, where the guy films something moving in the dark pit. Could that just be his mind filling in blanks? What's a video you've seen that could be explained by a trick of the mind instead of something paranormal?

Angela's right about our brains filling in the dark spots. That famous video of the "skinwalker" at the old ranch could just be pareidolia making a weird shape out of a coyote or bush. It makes you wonder how many "proof" videos are just our own minds playing tricks, doesn't it?

Actually Mel's Hole was a different story, not the ranch video.

Yeah the Mel's Hole thing is a perfect example, I mean our brains are just filling in the dark spots.
