Spent 6 months trying to find a physical copy of 'The Moon and Antarctica' by Modest Mouse from 2000, was it even pressed on vinyl?

Man, that whole thing is just how everything feels now. Like you can find any song in two seconds online, but tracking down the actual physical thing is a nightmare. It's not just records, it's trying to buy a specific book cover or an old video game cartridge. The easier it gets to get the digital stuff, the harder and more weirdly expensive it gets to find the real object. Makes the hunt feel kinda pointless and super important at the same time, you know?

Feel your pain, that hunt is a special kind of torture. I once spent a year looking for a specific pressing before realizing I had the catalog number wrong the whole time. The 2000 original is out there, but it's like finding a specific grain of sand.

My buddy did that with a catalog number too, drove him nuts.

That "special kind of torture" @jesseb20 mentioned reminds me of the time I found my white whale at a yard sale for a buck.
