Spent $120 on a new floral adhesive for a wedding arch last weekend and it was a total disaster.

Describe exactly how it failed, like did the flowers slide right off or did the adhesive itself turn gummy and gross? I'm trying to picture what a $120 disaster even looks like.

I saw a florist on TikTok say some of those expensive adhesives just don't work in high humidity.

Tbh I read somewhere that cheap florist glue is mostly just water-based crap that dissolves the second the humidity hits. @kim.wren was spot on about those expensive ones failing too, but it depends on the brand. From what I heard, the only reliable stuff is the latex-based adhesive that takes longer to dry but actually holds up in a damp environment. The gummy mess happens when the glue never fully cures because the moisture in the air keeps it wet. Honestly I'd rather use a two-part epoxy or even a hot glue gun than waste money on a fancy tube that turns into a sticky disaster. If you're in a humid climate, skip the floral adhesives entirely and look for something labeled waterproof or solvent-based.
