Serious question, why do people keep putting daffodils in with other flowers?
I had a bride bring in a bouquet from another shop where the tulips were completely wilted next to fresh daffodils, because the sap from the daffodil stems poisoned the water for everything else. It ruined a $400 order and the wedding was the next day. Has anyone else had to explain this to a customer after the fact?

Oh man, "their own water for a full day" is so true. I saw the exact same thing with some roses and irises last spring. The customer just stuck them all in the same vase right away, and the roses were completely limp and brown by the next morning while the daffodils looked fine. It's such a sneaky thing to wreck a whole arrangement.

Ugh, that's the worst. I always tell people daffodils need their own water for a full day before you mix them. That sap is no joke.
