My shop in Tacoma switched to ordering lilies on Thursday instead of Monday this spring.

We went from tossing about 30 wilted stems a week to maybe 5, just by getting them closer to the weekend rush. Has anyone else tweaked their delivery schedule and seen a big drop in waste?

It's smart how a small change can make such a big difference, right?

Honestly, that move would backfire at my local shop. Our weekend rush is Friday, not Saturday, so Thursday lilies would already be a day old for the biggest sales push. We found switching to a Wednesday delivery gave us that fresh stock peak when we actually need it. Sometimes the fix is moving away from the weekend, not toward it, depending on your traffic.
