Trick I learned for cutting LVP without chipping the edge
I kept getting jagged edges on my planks until a guy at a supply house in Phoenix told me to score the bottom side first with a hook knife before snapping. Has anyone else tried this or got a better way to avoid those chips?

And that makes a lot of sense if you think about how most things in life work better when you go at them from the opposite side first. It's the same reason you score glass before snapping it or cut a box from the inside out to keep the printed side clean. People always focus on the side they can see, but the hidden side is usually where the stress is coming from. That supply house guy probably saved you a whole lot of frustration just by getting you to flip your thinking around.

That supply house guy helped me out the same way with a weird valve last month, totally saved my afternoon.
