My laminate scrap coffee table turned into a fun weekend build

Gluing those pieces together (way more satisfying than I thought) gave me a one-of-a-kind table, and I'm curious what else you've built from floor scraps.

You mentioned gluing laminate scraps for your coffee table. I've found that method can be tricky because the glue doesn't always bond well to the laminate surface. For a similar project, I used a router to create interlocking edges on the scraps before assembling them. It required more tools, but the table hasn't wobbled at all since.

Kyle tried the glue method on his scraps last fall... his table split right down the middle after a month. He ended up adding a steel crossbeam underneath for support, which actually looked pretty cool in the end. Man, what a mess that was for a bit though.
